This compact matcha bowl is finished in a deep brown to near-black glaze with a pronounced, fine crackle pattern.
Dimensions: height 7.5 cm, diameter 13 cm.
The focal point is inside: at the base, the glaze forms an intense blue, glass-like centre with a crystalline pattern and a dark rim—an effect reminiscent of yuteki/yōhen tenmoku. The shape is pleasantly open and sits well in the hand, ideal for matcha but also beautiful as a small serving bowl.
A stamped mark is visible on the underside.
Condition: very good, with minimal wear and glaze characteristics typical of this type of finish.
