Patricia urquiola rigadino large rug manufactured by cassina nonconformist elegance with rigadino, patricia urquiola designs a contribution of nonconformist elegance inspired by historic venetian handiwork. Made of wool, the rug reinterprets, in a vivid textile pattern, the traditional striped motif typical of murano glass processing. Pattern striped, inspired by a murano glassmaking technique. With rigadino, patricia urquiola designs an article of nonconformist elegance inspired by historic venetian handiwork. Made of wool, the rug reinterprets, in a vivid textile pattern, the traditional striped motif typical of murano glass. A thick border decorated with the characteristic black lines of the “rigadin” defines the uneven perimeter of the rug, producing an interplay of hypnotic shapes that separate and interweave, again and again. A vortex of colour creates a sense of continuity with the sestiere vases and the no vanitas mirror, revisiting the same four colourways – aquamarine with carrot red surround, amethyst with lemon yellow, topaz with periwinkle and pale blue with petroleum.
