Crafted with intricate carvings, this original piece features hand painted detailing along with a wonderful handmade brass mechanism in the rear that is exposed when the wooden door is removed. It is a key wind mechanism that also has a bellow and when it's switched on the head turns and it would make a whistling noise. The mechanism and bellow operate great but the bellow needs to be repaired with new paper so air doesn't escape. It is one of the nicest whistlers we have come across and would be a distinctive addition to any collection. Made in Germany, this whistler sculpture showcases the artistry and craftsmanship of traditional German woodworking techniques, making it a valuable and sought-after decorative item for collectors and enthusiasts alike. The automation is in good working condition and he measures 7 1/2 inches tall by 3 3/4 inches wide. The tip of the cane is broken off. See less
