He studied at the École Supérieure du Bois in Nantes and holds a degree in civil engineering from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris. Together with his wife, Vuarnesson founded the design firm Sculptures-Jeux in 1973. His designs are characterized by functional, modular systems, concealed mechanisms, and movable, reconfigurable furniture components. This is also true of the "Nuit" table from 1989. Thanks to the stepless height adjustment via the black screw handle, the table's appearance can be changed again and again. On one side is a drawer that extends along its entire length. On the opposite side is an open storage compartment. The wooden parts are made of solid beechwood, while the shelf and base are made of black laminate. A professional restorer has carefully refurbished the table. Only the black parts show slight clouding in places and minimal signs of wear. Overall, the table is in very good condition.
