Large vintage stoneware basket by Les Potiers d’Accolay, France, circa 1960s.
This sculptural basket is defined by its asymmetrical folded form and a striking twisted handle, finished in a speckled grey glaze with brown and beige accents. The piece reflects Accolay’s mid-century approach to expressive yet functional stoneware, combining organic shaping with tactile surface effects.
The basket is both incised and retains its original “Les Potiers d’Accolay – Made in France” label. Its substantial scale and weight give it a strong visual presence, suitable as a centerpiece, decorative container, or standalone sculptural object.
