They were formerly gas electric combination fixtures with the valve right obove the socket and when in use, a small flame emitted from the small flame motif, giving you a warming glow from above and below the fixture The scalloped backplate of the sconces show off their aged satin brass patina. The arms each hold Arrow brand sockets that suspend the shades. These rare frosted shades are a light violet color that glows beautifully when lit. The patterns in the glass are subtle, and match well with the scallloped pattern at the back of the sconce, providing a flowing visual to the whole piece.
