The central field depicts a richly detailed procession scene with human figures, animals, and architectural elements rendered in a refined palette of soft earth tones, muted faded reds, and pale greens. The composition is framed by multiple decorative borders incorporating floral and geometric motifs typical of Ottoman court inspired textiles. Woven entirely in silk, the rug displays a luminous surface and fine detailing, characteristic of ceremonial and decorative pieces produced during the Ottoman period. This rug was likely intended for display rather than heavy floor use, reflecting its pictorial nature and artistic intent. A rare and collectible example of Ottoman figural weaving, suitable for wall display or as a statement piece in a refined interior. See less
