The board is … Read more This is a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted solid wood surfboard–style sculptural object, built entirely by hand in Pasadena, California.
The board is constructed from solid maple, Khaya mahogany, and dark oak, laminated and shaped using traditional woodworking techniques. No veneers, CNC shaping, or mass-production processes were used. The outline and rails are hand-shaped, and the surface is finished by hand to a high-gloss protective clear coat that highlights the natural grain and contrast of the woods.
While inspired by classic surfboard forms, this piece is intended as a decorative wall object or sculptural statement, not for use in the water.
Subtle tool marks and natural wood variation are part of the character of the piece and reflect its handmade nature.
