This example is executed … Read more Rare GE 106 table lamp by Belgian architect Christophe Gevers, produced in the 1970s by Light. This example is executed in brass, a configuration we have not previously encountered. The design features a bent-steel structure and the characteristic cylindrical shade, resulting in a beautiful architectural silhouette. Suitable for use on a desk, shelf, or side table.
The lamp is in very good original condition, with authentic wear consistent with age. No longer in production, the GE 106 is considered a collectible within Belgian modernist design, and this brass version is virtually never found. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
