We are pleased to present a true masterpiece of period cabinetmaking: a refined high side table, a piece of rare elegance that marries the nobility of walnut with the solid composure of black marble.

Design and Production Period
This piece dates back to the late 19th century (circa 1880-1900). It was created during the Eclectic period, when artisans masterfully reinterpreted the stylistic features of the past to create highly representative furnishings destined for the prestigious living rooms of the European bourgeoisie.

Style and Construction Details
The style is a sublime reference to the Italian Renaissance with hints of Louis XVI style:

The Top: A fine slab of absolute black marble set in a molded wooden frame. The polished surface of the marble is not only a luxurious aesthetic detail, but also serves as the perfect base for displaying sculptures, fine vases, or antique lamps.

The Under-Top Band: Richly hand-carved with acanthus leaf and scroll motifs, it features a relief workmanship that lends the piece three-dimensionality and character.

The Supports: Four slender, fluted legs, typical of neoclassical design, are punctuated by elegant turned "bulb" elements decorated with floral motifs.

The Base: The legs are connected by a wavy "X" crosspiece, topped in the center by a turned knob (spinning top), which ensures impeccable structural stability while adding a further touch of decorative refinement.
