Exquisite and authentic Saturn table lamp by Robert Sonneman for George Kovacs.
USA 1980.

Black textured metal frame.
The reflector is encircled by perforated black metal, allowing a soft beam of light to pass through and the heat from the bulb to dissipate.
The entire lamp is surrounded by a thick glass ring. (Saturn)
The small glass plate beneath the reflector is still present.
Given dimensions:
Height 45 cm.
Diameter 40 cm.
This is the large, authentic model.
Several inspired models exist.
Most are smaller, have a different base, and are often made of a glossy, non-textured black.
Exceptional condition. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
