An icon of Italian design history: Le Bambole 2-seater sofa, designed in 1972 by Mario Bellini for B&B Italia. This piece was manufactured in 1978. The timeless design is known for its natural, inviting shapes and the illusion of structureless softness, created with a metal frame encased in several layers of polyurethane. This exceptional combination of innovation, aesthetics, and comfort earned this revolutionary design the prestigious Campasso d'Oro award in 1979.
Marked and in very good condition. The sofa has been reupholstered in a soft velvet fabric in a light yellow.
