A beautiful Art Deco table lamp depicting an elephant carrying an alabaster globe, dating from the 1920s–1940s. The lamp is crafted in patinated metal with a deep, bronzed finish, resting on a rectangular alabaster base and crowned by a spherical alabaster shade. The soft alabaster globe emits a warm, atmospheric glow when illuminated, highlighting the natural veining and organic variations of the stone. Figurative lamps of this kind were particularly popular during the Art Deco period, reflecting the era’s fascination with exotic motifs, stylized animals, and luxurious natural materials. The elephant form lends the lamp both symbolic presence and playful character, while maintaining a refined decorative expression. An ideal accent piece for a console, sideboard, or bookshelf, the lamp integrates effortlessly into interiors ranging from Art Deco and Classic to Modern, Antique or Vintage-inspired spaces.
