The tabletop is an incredible single-piece block of wood with a free-form shape, revealing the natural movement of the elm burl. The very thick, honey-varnished finish acts like a magnifying glass: it adds depth to the complex grain of the elm and captures the light. It rests on a brutalist "stump" base, creating a striking contrast between the smooth surface of the tabletop and the rough texture of the base.

This is a centerpiece for a living room: it anchors the space with its visual density and brings immediate organic warmth.

Condition: Superb vintage condition. The thick varnish has a beautiful sheen that protects the wood and enhances the contrasts of the grain. Solid and perfectly stable structure.
