This mirror … Read more Gorgeous wall mirror designed by Austrian Josef Frank and manufactured in Sweden by Svenskt Tenn in the Midcentury.
This mirror is made of full shiny brass frame with spiral loop frame around and big round hanging hook on top as well as the original hook for wall hanging in leaf shape.
Easily recognizable his mirrors by the wall hook, the loop frame and many big round screw nuts made of full brass, which hold the decorated spiral ring, which is also made of brass.
At the backside the metal plate, which is screwed to the frame, only this version is the original.
The mirror is quite heavy due to its excellent quality of material.
The mirror glass have been renewed and is therefore in excellent condition.
Normal signs of wear and age as patina and small dark spots especially at the upper side of the mirror brass (see pictures)
The mentioned height above is including the wall hanging hook.
The height of the mirror without hanging hook is 67 cm (26.4in).
The only hook is approx. 10cm (3.9in) This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
