The "Ultra" features a complex composition of concentric bands: six smaller white lacquered cylinders merge into a larger, single outer form. This layering ensures the light source is completely hidden from direct view, providing a soft, glare-free illumination that is comfortable for the eyes. Designed by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup during the 1960s, this specific example features a rare purple lacquered exterior, adding a touch of Space Age color to the sleek aluminum form.
