The large 12" wide bowl features grapes, an apple. peach and bananas in raised relief, resting on lovely green leaves and is signed on the bottom "Italy" and "188". It has a scalloped edge painted in green. The raised profile on the bowl is not as pronounced as on the platter. The bowl has a glossy glazed finish. The exact manufacturer is unknown. See less

- There are some small chips around the edge of the bowl, but they are pinpoint and very difficult to show … moreThere are some small chips around the edge of the bowl, but they are pinpoint and very difficult to show in the photographs. There is some wear on the underside of the rim, and some spots of green paint along the outside of the bowl as is typical with handpainted pieces. the rim on the bottom does show some wear. There are also typical firing imperfections on the exterior of the bowl. There are no cracks, the bowl is very sturdy and heavy, and it seems the interior finish is still food safe. less
