A gorgeous long and low mid century modern credenza in rosewood by A. H. McIntosh & Co Ltd, Kirkcaldy, Scotland circa 1960’s.
This piece is a McIntosh 'Dunfermline' sideboard (also known as the 'Long John' or 'Dunottar' model), a highly sought-after example of mid-century modern furniture designed by Tom Robertson for the Scottish manufacturer A.H. McIntosh & Co. in the 1960s. This piece is the rarer rosewood version, which gives it its distinct wood grain and rich, dark hue.
The credenza features 3 drawers with felt-lined divided flatware drawer on top. The center cabinet has beautiful recessed circular pulls and a sculptured shelf within. The right side cabinet is open (suitable for a bar) with pull out black laminate shelf up top.
Back is unfinished.
A wonderful, hard to find, collectible statement piece!
