Estimated to date from the late 20th century, the piece is executed in a Neoclassical Revival style. Cast in a white stone-look material, likely concrete or composite, it features soft facial detailing, flowing garments, and a naturally weathered patina that adds character and authenticity. The sculpture incorporates a generously sized basin at the base, making it ideal for use as a planter or decorative garden vessel. The pitcher held by the child is hollow, indicating that the piece was originally designed as fountain-style statuary, with water intended to flow from the pitcher into the basin below. While no pump or plumbing is currently installed, it can be easily converted back into a functioning fountain with a small submersible pump, or enjoyed as a purely ornamental garden accent. The size is 32”H X 18”W Base. The larger basket is 8.5”W X 7”D. The smaller basket is 4”W X 6”D. The opening near his hands is 6” X2.5”D. Please note we do not have a pump to provide if you wanted to use it as a fountain. It is in good condition. It is a heavy piece likely around 50 pounds.
