This vintage Samson foot locker was manufactured in the United States by Shwayder Bros., Inc., the historic makers behind Samson and later Samsonite. Dating to approximately the late 1930s to early 1940s, this piece features its original olive green fiberboard exterior with riveted metal banding, reinforced corners, and classic industrial hardware.
The trunk retains its original interior paper lining, showing a small, stabilized oil stain consistent with vintage travel use. The surface is dry and no longer transfers residue. Overall, the piece presents beautifully with authentic patina and strong visual character, making it ideal for decorative storage, coffee table use, or as a statement accent in industrial, rustic, or eclectic interiors.
