Designers Nasrallah & Horner were invited to rethink this contemporary french bed, as much in terms of its function as its use. The velvet upholstered headboard is evocative of a shell: it is an invitation to read, to watch TV or even write. The impression of continuity between the headboard and the base confers great visual lightness, even with the high headboard. The Desdémone bed stands beautifully on it's own as the centerpiece of the room. This bed is a cocoon : it brings protection and serenity, becoming the ideal refuge for a perfect night's sleep.
Nada Nasrallah and Christian Horner are Vienna-based industrial designers who formed Soda Designers after meeting during their studies in Vienna and Paris. They specialize in furniture, interior architecture, and mass-market electronics, collaborating with major brands like Ligne Roset, MDF Italia, and Fontana Arte.

I contacted the company and was guaranteed a replacement but - perhaps due to the pandemic - it never arrived. The damage is not visible when the bed is made. The velvet headboard is in perfect condition. I have not aggressively followed up with Ligne Roset. less
