This striking vintage patchwork quilt is a handmade, home-sewn piece, evident in the irregular stitching, hand-pieced blocks, and varied fabric remnants. The pattern is commonly known as Rocky Road to Kansas (sometimes grouped with related “Road” variation blocks). Quilts of this style were often assembled from scrap cottons, feedsack fabrics, and household textiles, reflecting both thrift and artistry.
Likely created in the early 1900s (circa 1900–1930), made domestically in the US, often by women for family use or as a wedding or heirloom piece. The geometric blocks and cheerful color palette align beautifully with Americana, farmhouse, primitive, and cottagecore décor.
Measures approximately 98.5" x 86", which fits a king size bed.
