Two Demilune burled wood tables characterized by the half -moon shape was popular in French furniture design during the Rococo period- under Louis XV
Used as night stands and accent pieces.
Details:
Marquetry, inlaided works, veneer, Cabriole legs with ornate brass mounts (Ormolu)
TIME PERIOD: late 19th century- maybe 20th century
Origin : France
Well made piece. Very good condition
SIZE: 28" high x 19" wide x 10" deep
The current owner/ seller had CUSTOM MARBLE TOPS made to cover up the fact that tops need refinishing
If you remove the custom made marble tops the tabes - Tops of the tables will need restoration see photos of tables without the marble additions.
That is the only alteration made since we owned these ( 30 years)
