This is a variation of the well-known Karl Trabert lamp, manufactured in 1933 by Schanzenbach & Co. in Frankfurt am Main. This elegant model by BAG Turgi, in a chrome-plated version, was still featured in the 1960 catalog of the Swiss Werkbund, "Wohnen heute 3" (Living Today 3), under number 42 007. It reflects the aesthetics of modernism and the Bauhaus movement. Scholars point to Trabert's exchange with the artistic avant-garde and attribute this design to him.
Brass reflector; burnished brass base and brown lacquered wooden arm; rewired a few years ago; there are a few scratches visible on the reflector and some streaks on the brass. Overall, though, it has a nice patina. This piece has an attribution mark,
