Woven around 1920, it displays the superior craftsmanship, durable construction, and lustrous hand-spun wool that have made antique Bakhtiari carpets highly respected among collectors and decorators. While Bakhtiari rugs are best known for their garden-panel (Kheshti) designs, finely woven allover floral examples such as this are less common and are prized for their elegant decorative appeal.
