Vintage 1970s Blue Danube Japan Tea Set Including 4 Cups, 4 Saucers with Square Mark
Excellent vintage condition. No damage. These are 4 split-handle coffee tea cups with 4 saucers. They are vintage dating, 1970s.
Blue Danube is a popular Japanese-made pattern (since the 1950s). Their design is an intricate floral motif in rich blue on white porcelain are typically considered to be stylized versions of peaches, pomegranates, and flowers like asters, chrysanthemums, or peonies, often with winding stems around a bamboo stalk.
This pattern is no longer in production, making it a popular choice for collectors of vintage porcelain. The Blue Danube back-stamp mark on these was used from 1970s through 1990s.
