Authentic 18th-century French medical books printed in Paris in 1739, Recueil des remèdes faciles et domestiques is a landmark work of domestic and charitable medicine attributed to Madame Fouquet.
Offered here as Tome Premier and Tome Second, this set retains its original period leather bindings with gilt spine decoration. The bindings show heavy wear, losses, and surface degradation, consistent with extensive historical use and nearly three centuries of age.
The spines remain visually expressive and richly patinated, making the set particularly well-suited for decorative display in a library, study, or interior project seeking authentic Old World character.
Interior pages exhibit age toning and foxing. Title pages are present.
The book is a compelling decorative and historical object that reflects early French medical practice and household remedies.
