This is an ornate, vintage Friedman Brothers giltwood wall mirror in a classic Louis XV/ Rococo Revival Style.
An elegant rectangular mirror surmounted by a richly carved crest featuring a trio of stylized floral buds tied with a ribbon motif. The frame is hand carved wood with sweeping acanthus leaves. Finished in a warm antiqued gold leaf that highlights the deep relief carving and adds soft patina and character. Proportions are tall and refined making it well suited for use as a mantel mirror, entryway statement piece or dressing mirror.
