At the height of … Read more 1940’s harlequin english solid children’s chapel chairs. England has a wonderfully rich heritage for making chairs. At the height of production at the turn of the last century over 4500 chairs were being produced daily in the villages around high wycombe. Each chair was hand-made, typically in oak or elm. Sadly churches find non stacking chairs take up too much space so they find their way to us to for a second rich life. We came across this batch of rare beautiful single low children’s chairs, all differ slightly in design but together they look amazing. We service and wax each chair individually before they leave our workshop to deliver chairs of excellent quality. You will receive a random style as photographed. The dimensions of the chairs vary in size with the smallest being l39 x w35 x h56 and the largest l30 x w34 x h63 all in cm. Seat height: 28-35cm workshop report: our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
