Offered is a vintage Jeffersonian revolving book stand, inspired by the historic design attributed to Thomas Jefferson. This well-made example dates to the early–mid 20th century and was designed to rotate on a central vertical spindle mounted to a separate base (base/spindle not included).

When closed, it forms a handsome wooden box. When opened, the four hinged panels fold outward to create angled reading surfaces, allowing multiple books to be displayed at once. The central adjustable support holds books at a comfortable reading angle.

Crafted with mahogany veneer over solid secondary woods, with solid brass hinges and traditional slotted screws. This is a quality piece of furniture, not a recent reproduction. *2 of the original screws have been replaced
