The lamp has a central metal column with an adjustable arm and thumb lever used to raise or lower the shade, retaining its original bouillotte form inspired by late 18th and early 19th century French lighting. The base is finished en suite in red tole with gilt accents, supporting two candle-style sockets fitted for electricity. See less
