The figure represents the centuries old tradition of equestrian hunting. Being made in the 1980s and subsequently retired by Royal Dux makes this one rare indeed. Beautifully glazed and with great detail. The rider's expression is incredibly realistic. I can almost hear the dogs running at feet while the horse steadfast in its movement forward. Great piece of wonderfully executed porcelain from a highly renown maker. The horse's rein is missing with no damage to the piece whatso ever and does not detract from the beauty or majesty of this large well detailed figure grouping in my opinion. See less
