Splendid and elegant antique chest of drawers, an expression of the refined Italian Neoclassical taste of the late 18th century.

Structure: Compact and linear body, characterized by the configuration of just two large drawers, giving the piece a particularly slender and airy appearance.

Veneering and Inlays: The surface is entirely veneered in blond walnut, with a rich and expertly arranged grain. The drawer panels, sides, and top are decorated with the evocative herringbone technique, framed by thin contrasting boxwood fillets.

Feet: The uprights extend into four slender, inverted truncated pyramid feet (stitched), typical of the Neoclassical period, further embellished with two-tone geometric reserve inlays.

Details: The front is adorned with four exquisite gilded bronze handles in a classic style, medallion or garland-shaped, which enhance its elegance, and elegant wooden shield-shaped escutcheons for the lock.
