Produced in 1966 by Edition Panderma, Basel, this piece is part of Edition of 230.Karl Gerstner (1930–2017) was one of the most important Swiss graphic designers and artists of the 20th century. As a proponent of "Swiss Design," he pioneered computational and systematic design methods. In his artistic practice, he explored the "Program as Logic"—using algorithms and modular systems to generate infinite variations of form and color. His "Color Forms" and "Algo-Rhythms" are iconic examples of systematic art. Gerstner was also a co-founder of the advertising agency GGK and author of the influential book "Designing Programmes."Condition:
