Watercolors by Major General Charles Ferguson Sharpe, 1833-1903. Reproduced by permission of The Zoological Society of London. Limited edition of 50 prints. "The Red Spurfowl" January 1895. The Cheer Pheasant, (male) 7th Sept '86, (female) 4th Oct '88. Monochromatic blue-grey color scheme. The artworks depict the birds in natural outdoor settings, with one possibly showing a male pheasant and the other a group of hens or partridges.
The frame is 1/2" wide. Frame with the mat is 3.25" wide. The watercolor itself is 16" wide by 12.5" high. Each print is individually framed under glass with double matting and an antiqued gold with red clay undertoned frame.
