Sculptural ice-glass candle holder produced in Finland circa 1965–75.
The organic, frozen-water texture and strong geometric silhouette are characteristic of the Finnish modernist glass tradition.
This piece is strongly reminiscent of the work of Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala, where glass was treated as a natural, almost geological material.
An elegant yet expressive design object. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
