Magnificent table lamp by Jacques Adnet.
France, 1950s.
Brass structure with a tripod base.
Partially covered in stitched black leather.
Two lights.
Height 66 cm.
Width 23 cm.
Excellent condition.
A small brass piece has a tiny crack.

Jacques Adnet:
In the 1920s and 1930s, Adnet established himself as a major figure in the Art Deco movement.
His association with Hermès marked a turning point in his career, allowing him to develop his famous style combining leather and metal.
At the head of Compagnie des Arts Français, Adnet continued to push the boundaries of design with creations that combined elegance, modernity, and functionality.
Among the designers on his team were leading figures such as François Jourdain, Charlotte Perriand, and Georges Jouve.
In the 1950s, he devoted himself to furniture design and received numerous commissions, including the decoration of the French president's private apartments at the Élysée Palace and the meeting room at UNESCO's Paris headquarters. from 1959 to 1970, he directed the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
