The straight backs are adorned with carved panels featuring a stylized floral motif, a typical echo of the decorative vocabulary of the period. The woven straw seats (very comfortable and sturdy) complement the tapered legs and solid crossbars: chairs ready for everyday use. The set clearly evokes the style of Pierre Cruège—a French decorator active from the 1940s to the 1960s, renowned for his oak furniture with sculpted reliefs, both understated and inviting.
