Stunning pair of extra large opaline glass wall lights/sconces designed by wilhelm wagenfeld for peill & putzler (germany, 1950s). Rare 2685 model ('magna'). Opaline glass shades with metal bases. Beautiful minimalist design & high quality. They create a beautiful atmosphere (see pictures).
wilhelm wagenfeld was an important pioneer of modernist design. His timelessly simple designs are internationally recognized and have received many awards. A museum dedicated to wagenfeld’s works as well as a design school named in his honor have been created in his hometown of bremen.
the wall light are rewired (hardwired) and ready to use (compatible in all countries europe, us, uk, etc.). Each wall light requires 1x e27 light bulb (e26 in the us). Led compatible. Height: 37,5 cm/14.8''; width: 16 cm/6.3''; depth (from wall): 11,5 cm/4.5''. Very good vintage condition. Light wear consistent with age and use. this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
