It was much more expensive at the time than bedroom furniture made by the larger companies such as G Plan, Austinsuite and Meredew so it doesn’t come up for sale in large numbers. The 1961 catalogue we have reads ” Constructed of solid Afrormosia with Afrormosia veneers , having a natural oiled finish requiring the minimum of attention to maintain ” (it’s often sold with a Heals but it was retailed by other top class provincial retailers) This is the 6 drawer double chest, deep in size, so plenty of room for storage. as a bedroom or lounge piece. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
