A refined and uncommon vintage porcelain figurine crafted by Herend, one of Europe’s most prestigious and enduring porcelain houses, celebrated for its hand-painted artistry and exceptional craftsmanship.
This elegant figurative sculpture depicts a tender mother and child scene, rendered in soft pastel hues of green, blue, and ivory. The gentle interaction — the child grasping the mother’s skirt as she carries a vessel — conveys warmth, protection, and quiet domestic grace. Mother-and-child figurative groups were produced in far smaller numbers than Herend’s well-known animal figures, making this model seldom seen on the market today.
