Smyers founded … Read more A beautiful signed Stephen Smyers art glass serving bowl with an exquisite gold hobnail design and great texture. Smyers founded Smyers Glass in Benicia, California in 1971, making it the city’s first glass studio. He started out creating luster glass paperweights inspired by the Tiffany tradition, then spent decades producing award-winning hand-blown stemware and designing pendant lighting for major lighting companies. Today his work is widely collected and held in major museum collections, and this bowl is a lovely example of his long career in American studio glass. See less
