Newton shot this now seminal work atop a Midtown NYC skyscraper in 1975, featuring one of his favorite models and friend Elsa Peretti. The shot features Peretti modeling a Halston bunny style outfit with the Midtown skyscrapers in the background. It is the second image of pair with the first featuring a full-size image, and this image is a close-up and more relaxed presentation. Elsa Peretti skyrocketed to fame as a model but is most prominently known as Tiffany and Company's top jewelry designer for over five decades. The location of this shoot is near Tiffany's NYC headquarters and Peretti's longtime personal residence, which has been featured in Architectural Digest and more.

Condition and Materials

Vintage silver gelatin print developed on a 20" x 24" thick photographic paper. Print is in excellent condition, never framed or displayed, and stored in climate controlled facility. Print displays the beautiful depth and distinctive wavy gloss finish that silver gelatin prints are revered for. Provenance

This collection of prints are owned by a private party that acquired the collection directly from the artist. The collection of prints are 1980's production originally designed for retail distribution. Following a series of exhibitions at reknowned galleries in London, New York, Paris, and Los Angeles, the remaining prints were acquired from Newton directly and documented in a signed legal agreement between parties in 1986. This agreement was further ratified following Newton's passing in 2012 by the Helmut Newton Estate, signed by June Newton, and recorded and filed in the Superior Court of Los Angeles. Print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by legal representative detailing ownership, right to sell, and authenticity.
