A striking pair of vintage figural table lamps featuring classically draped female forms rendered in gilded brass, mounted on stepped giltwood and marble bases. Each figure holds a unique pose while remaining a cohesive pair. The original parchment-toned shades are trimmed with embossed gilt bands that echo the bases’ architectural form. Overall in great condition given age.
Likely of Italian origin, this pair draws inspiration from classical Greco-Roman sculpture, with rich giltwood bases and intricately cast figures. While unmarked, the craftsmanship and materiality are consistent with mid-century Italian export production found in Florence and Milan.
