Etching … Read more 20th-century impression from Rembrandt’s 1654 plate, created in the 1990s as part of the limited Millennium Edition of 2,500. Etching on off-white Ingres d’Arches paper, signed and dated in the plate.

Carefully printed under the supervision of master printers Emiliano Sorini and Marjorie Van Dyke, preserving the subtle dry-point and burin lines of the original etching, with strong contrasts and fine shading that highlight the 17th-century genre scene depicting the Dutch game “Kolf,” precursor to modern golf.

The artwork is presented in a sculptural, decorative frame with a gilt finish and carved motifs. Professionally matted with a double or French mat system: wide white acid-free mat and narrow dark liner mat, adding depth and emphasizing the print. Glazing protects the artwork, and the assembly uses conservation-quality materials for a refined presentation. See less
