I have even had art residencies there. When there I fill sketchbooks with sketches and take many pics of the wonderful wildlife that is visible there. This painting is a rework of one that I made, a semi abstract painting of some of the critters that I experienced when at YNP. I live in NM and these particular critters can also be seen here in my own state. The wolf is representative of a wolf the Mexican Gray that we have here in NM or the Gray Wolf found in WY. I can see this particular work in a nursery or child's room. The colors are harmonized but it has a certain sweetness about it. It is layered acrylic and other media onto a stretched canvas. It comes ready to hang as is. See less
