This composition depicts the Child Mary, often given in the past as a wish for fertility or protection for the home.

Subject and Craftsmanship: The small figure of the Virgin is depicted in swaddling clothes, like a newborn, with a finely painted face reminiscent of waxwork (ceroplastic). She wears a white fabric dress (silk or satin) embellished with gold thread trimmings. The Child rests on a raised cradle decorated with embossed gold paper, surrounded by a flourish of artificial white flowers (a symbol of purity) and green leaves. The whole thing rests on an oval wooden base covered in red velvet and protected by a transparent plastic dome.

Condition: Good overall vintage condition. The interior (statuette and flowers) is very well preserved, and the colors are vibrant.

Note: There is a grain/crack on the clear plastic bell, visible in the photo, due to age and the fragility of the material. The structure remains solid and protective.

Notes for Collectors: These religious "bells" are pieces of the history of customs and faith. Despite the signs of aging on the cover, the interior retains its monastic and artisanal charm. An ideal piece for collectors of minor sacred art or nativity scenes.
