Settled in Médéa, in the heart of the Mitidja plain, a region nicknamed the "triangle of death," he and his family find themselves in the eye of the storm. Resigned yet resilient, he doesn't move. What would be the point? The entire country is in blood, tragedy and horror are everywhere, in the next village, on the street corner, on his doorstep… The unbearable horror leaves no room for inspiration, and his canvases remain blank for several years. from this period, from these trials, he retains an exacerbated awareness of the world's pains, a hypersensitivity to the sufferings that surround him, and bleedings in the heart, bleedings in the brain, bleedings on the canvas.
