This doria table lamp combines chrome, glass, and color to create a quintessential 1970s space-age design. A spherical glass shade, completely transparent and accented with white and orange bands—almost like the color rings of a small planet—sits atop a gleaming chrome base. This effect gives the lamp structure when switched off and a warm, atmospheric play of light when illuminated. The combination of a chrome frame and colored glass accents is characteristic of doria lamps from west germany during this period.
