The cabinet dates from 1795 and has a lived-in character with original paintings. Both the design of the cabinet and the painting are simple and primitive, but authentic and a typical example of folk art from the region. Flowers are depicted on the panels, while the rest of the furniture is decorated with stripe motifs and curls. The cabinet is in good condition and has been lightly used. Some discoloration can be seen on the back panel, and the lock has been replaced at some point. The cabinet can be dismantled and is divided on the inside with coat hooks and a rod. Old, sporadic traces of woodworm have been checked and treated. In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture such as this to the couple as a wedding gift. This furniture was then placed in a showroom on the farm, which was only rarely used for important visitors or special occasions.
